 1)What’s the project about?

The project is about work experience abroad.

 2)How good does your English have to be ?

You must have  a  good knowledge of  English language (B2 level) and be able to speak effectively!

 3)Did you have to do a test to get on the course?

Yes, you have to pass the Trinity ISE II  exam with a mother tongue examiner.

 4)How did the 100-hour course affect the rest of your school work?

A lot because twice a week you have to attend this intense course.

 5)Do you have to do a lot of homework and tests during the course ?

No, but you have to attend a minimum of 70 hours .

  6)Are the lessons similar to “scholastic English” lessons , if no , how are they different ?

No, the type of lesson is different from scholastic English lessons because you don’t focus your attention only on grammar rules , but  also on the way you communicate with others .

 7)What are the best /worst aspects of the course ?

The  best  thing of the course is learning  the language  abroad, the worst is that there are too many hours of lessons.

8)What happens if your  English still isn’t good enough when you get there?

You should try to make yourself understood  by local people even by using gestures.

9)What is the host family life like?

It is completely different from Italian life, especially for  the habits.

  10)Do you get paid for the jobs you do?

If you are lucky they give you  a present. 

11)What happens  if you don’t like  your family or work placement?

 You can ask  your tutor to be changed.

 12)Do you get any school credits by doing this project?

 Yes. You get one credit.

 13)What do you consider the major benefits of this experience ?

 You enjoy yourself learning  English.

 14)What kind of personality do you think you have to have to enjoy this course ?

 You have to be extrovert , sociable, and prepared to be hard working when necessary!

 15)If you could suggest some changes to the project, what would they be?

Maybe fewer hours of the course and a little money for the hard work we did abroad!
