My first work experience in Wales

Family

The family that Alessia and I stayed with was just a lady. She was very nice but also very dirty. In fact she lived with a dog and a cat that kept losing their fur and we found animal hair everywhere. The food wasn’t good because to save money, the lady, bought food that was past its sell-by date. In the kitchen she also had crisps and sweets but she didn’t give us any so, at night we went down to steal something good to eat.

Work

I worked in a charity shop in Abergele called Barnardo’s. The shop was opposite Alessia’s place of work. The people working in the shop were very friendly to me and I enjoyed working there a lot.

I learned how to use the till and sometimes I helped the staff to sort out the clothes and price items.

I miss them a lot and I hope that one day I will go there again to see them.

School

Conlan was the school where we studied the first days. The Staff were very good and the school organised trips to Chester, Liverpool and Manchester.

Group

I’m very satisfied with the group. We became very close. I got on very well with them especially with Alessia and we miss our adventures together in Llandudno a lot.
