My trip to Wales and England was the best experience I have had in my life and I really enjoyed it. At the beginning, before leaving, I thought that 3 weeks would be too long but the time flew, maybe too quickly. My host-family weren’t very friendly and sometimes the host-lady was also unkind to us but it was ok because I used to spend my spare time in Llandudno with other friends and so I didn’t stay at home a lot. The host-lady also had a lot of strange rules and she was obsessive about them! She always had something to complain about regarding Jessica and me and I was happy to leave that family! We spent our first week at the Conlan school and during that time we also went on some day trips to some places near to Abergele. The trips were really interesting and fun, we went to Chester, Manchester, Liverpool and we visited a lot of places such as the slate mines and some castles. The trip to Liverpool was horrible! I wasn’t feeling ok and I got lost with two other girls.. We were very late for the meeting arranged! Then in our second week we had to go to work. My job wasn’t hard, I just had to do office work such as photocopying. In my work place I met a lot of new people and they always were very kind and polite to me. However, there was one problem for me: it was far away from my home. I had to catch the bus at 8 in the morning and so I had to wake up at 7 even if we went to bed late. And so in the morning I was a little bit sleepy. The bus that was supposed to take me in the morning didn’t stop and at the beginning I arrived late at work but my boss understood the problem and so it was ok. Then I found out that I could catch another bus and arrive at work on time so the problem was solved! I also socialized with a girl, Liz and I had a good time with her. When we left the family I was quite happy because I couldn’t stand the host-lady any more. We spent our last days in London where we enjoyed ourselves. I think that we visited all the most important and famous places. In conclusion I can say that this experience was really important for me and it helped me to grow up and to become more responsible. If I could go back in time I would do this kind of experience again.
